SUNSET manufactures custom hardwood timber windows, doors and architectural joinery for architect-led residential projects. From rough-sawn timber through to finished joinery, every piece is manufactured in our Sunshine workshop.
A look at the final cutting and checking stage, where components are cut to finished size and checked before assembly.
SUNSET Joinery’s profiling process uses a Felder spindle moulder to create the profiles required for timber windows and doors. By this stage, each component has been straightened and squared, ready for rebating and profiling.
Once the timber has been straightened and squared, it moves through our SCM S630 thicknessing planer to achieve the exact dimensions required while retaining as much material as possible.
Once the timber has been selected and cut to size, the next stage is straightening.
Using our 70-year-old Wadkin surface planer, every piece is machined in-house until it is straight, square and ready for profiling. This is where the quality happens.
Once the timber is selected, each component is cut to size before moving through to straightening and machining.
This stage prepares the job for the machining process that follows, keeping each component organised and ready for the next step in production.
